After the successful example of Munich for inner-city commercial estates, the city of Hamburg has begun planning and building such a center for a heterogeneous mix of different trades. The new Meistermeile will be built directly at the Offakamp in Hamburg Eimsbüttel. The trick - the basic requirements for all trades are given on four levels with around 70 rental units: Stable ceilings with a particularly high load, powerful elevators, shelves for shipping containers, near the motorway and many more. Also, perfect conditions are given by the high variance of different surface sizes. The 50 to 500 sqm of floor space can also be extended by the tenant himself, which saves on rent costs and, secondly, restricts the various trades little to not at all. Of course, the leased space, if not already rented, individually expandable and may be shared by several tenants. The lease of the space is carried out by the Hamburg Chamber of Crafts.
